U.S. Court of Appeals
With headquarters in San Francisco, The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has appellate jurisdiction over the district courts Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, California, and Washington as well as Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. It is the largest of the 13 courts of appeals.
Southern District of California
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California is a federal court in the Ninth Circuit, representing the U.S. in civil and criminal litigation in the court. It is one of the four federal judicial districts in California and comprises Imperial and San Diego Counties.
US District Central
The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California serves more than 19 million people in both Southern and Central California. It is the most populous of the federal judicial districts and has jurisdiction over Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties.
Northern District of California
The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California is a federal court in the Ninth Circuit and is headquartered in San Francisco. The court’s jurisdiction comprises the counties of California, Alameda, Contra Costa, Del Norte, Humboldt, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Sonoma.
U.S. Tax Court
The United States Tax Court is a court of record established by Congress under Article I of the U.S. Constitution. The mission of the Tax Court is to provide a national forum for the swift resolution of disputes between the IRS and taxpayers. The tax court is made up of 19 presidential appointed members.
U.S. Supreme Court
The Supreme Court is the highest tribunal in the United States for all cases and controversies that arise under the Constitution or the laws of the country. It is the final arbiter of the law, promising the American people “equal justice under the law”. The court is made up of the Chief Justice of the United States and eight associate justices.
Speaker for Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB)
A non-profit program of the University of California, CEB is renowned for its authoritative content and expert legal guidance. The mission of CEB is to make high-quality legal information accessible from rural solo practices to large law firms. CEB’s attorney editors collaborate with experienced authors and speakers, including some of California’s most prominent lawyers and judges.
Los Angeles County Bar Association
Founded in 1878, LACBA is one of the largest voluntary metropolitan bar associations in the country with more than 15,000 members. The association serves attorneys, judges, and other legal professional through 27 sections, committees, networking events, live and on-demand CLE programs, and pro-bono opportunities.
Los Angeles County Bar Association Center for Mediation
As the premier mediation training program in Southern California, LACBA’s 40-Hour Mediation Training introduces attendees to the core principles and methods of alternative dispute resolution through lecture, small group exercises, and role playing. The program puts a strong emphasis on theory and practice.

Orange County Bar Association (OCBA)
The Orange County Bar Association is one of the largest voluntary bar associations in the State of California with over 9,000 members. The OCBA provides a wide variety of programs, services, and opportunities for its attorney members, the judiciary, and the community.
Orange County Jewish Bar Association
The OCJBA is comprised of Jewish attorneys as well as other interested parties. The association was established to provide a forum for Jewish and other lawyers interested in promoting economic, educational, social, and professional advancement of Jewish attorneys in Southern California.
